Breezy summer nights, and the roof of a friend’s home,
The feeling of this, I’d grown to love.
As we lay there, admiring the beauty of the night,
We notice flickering dots, of yellow and white.
Some sorts of minute floating lights.
Now I had,
A dark canvas, the sky,
Stars that colored it, varying but bright.
Fireflies, that added to the ambiance of the night,
Cool winds on a hot summer night,
Blowing our hair on our face, as we lay motionless,
Taking in everything, in front of our eyes.
Times like these, I believe,
Make you forget your work, worries, and cries.
