Peace not Pieces.

Recycling another one that I had written a year or two back. Guess we can establish I’m just trash in general.

They asked me what my religion is,
It’s not Hindu, Muslim or Christianity
I replied saying,”Humanity”.

They were shocked and stunned,
They talked of revenge and men with guns
And of broken hearts, and wounds and burns.

They thought they were bringing in peace
But instead they were breaking it piece by piece
Humans now were against each other
Killing each other,
Forgetting the soul that rested now,
Was someone’s mother
Or the dead eyes of the numb guy
Were of someone’s brother.

They were vindictive and violent,
The cries of pain soon fell silent,
What was soon to come was the end.

It was always war for war, mayhem for mayhem
A lot of destruction, nothing was the same
Innocent ones died, but wasn’t it just a game?

They thought they were bringing in peace
But instead they were breaking it piece by piece
Humans now were against each other
Killing each other,
Forgetting the soul that rested now,
Was someone’s mother
Or the dead eyes of the numb guy
Were of someone’s brother.

It wasn’t greenery no more,
All around streams of red galore
No one realized, the end was closer.

From old ones, to babies lay motionless
Red was all that stained their dress,
And everyone still stood blind to the mess.

From high above somewhere,
They weep and stare
The ones who made this world so bright
Now saw the deadly scenario in sight
They wondered how it all ended here
How their beautiful creations, were against each other
They regretted it all too much,
How violently, each other humans touch
They decided to end it for us,
Before we ended it too worse.

We thought we were bringing in peace
But instead we were breaking it piece by piece
Humans now were against each other
Killing each other,
Forgetting the soul that rested now,
Was someone’s mother
Or the dead eyes of the numb guy
Were of someone’s brother.

A/N: Ok, I know I was supposed to put this yesterday, but it’s finals week and there’s too much work, and I just couldn’t. But I’m putting even one for today right away. Also, I do realize that Poetry Month is about writing new ones, not recycling the old ones, but I promise I shall write new ones, once I get done with my final submissions 😥
